Dictionary Arabterm online

Hennef. The “Water” volume of the technical reference book “Arabterm” is now available for use on the Internet at www.arabterm.org. The online dictionary developed with the technical assistance of the German Association for Water, Wastewater and Waste (DWA) is aimed primarily at engineers, technicians, university employees and students. They can now look up over 7,000 water management terms in four languages - French, German, English and Arabic.

The DWA has provided some of the technical terms with comprehensible definitions and illustrated them with photos, diagrams and pictograms. A translation team based in Egypt was responsible for the translation of the terms into Arabic. The publishers of Arabterm are the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALESCO) and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation (BMZ).
