WATER INDUSTRY INNOVATION FORUM at the IFAT ENTSORGA

Wastewater treatment in warm climate zones and recycling of raw materials in focus

Hennef. Wastewater treatment plants in different climate zones as well as results and trends of phosphorus recycling form the topical emphasis of the water industry innovation forum, which is taking place within the framework of the IFAT ENTSORGA, the world’s leading trade fair of the water, wastewater, waste and raw materials industries, on Thursday 10th May 2012 in Munich.

The first presentation block primarily addresses the dimensioning and the operation of activated sludge plants, of wastewater lagoons and of wastewater treatment facilities using biological filters in warm climate zones.

Subject of the second presentation block is phosphorus recycling. The results are presented of the phosphorus recycling initiative sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). In addition, methods of phosphorus recycling through crystallisation of various wastewaters are presented using the example of a pilot plant as well as the large-scale implementation in Baden-Württemberg.

The Water Industry Innovation Forum is organised by the German Association for Water, Wastewater and Waste (DWA) in cooperation with the German Environment Foundation (BDU) and the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF).

All contributions will be translated simultaneously between German and English.
