WorldSkills 2017 in Abu Dhabi were a full success

Together with a trainee from the urban operations Neuwied/ Germany, which lies within the Rhineland-Palatinate region, DWA participated in the discipline „Water Technology“. All participants proved excellent skills and achieved great results.

We are particularly happy that Patrick Gundert  from Germany won the second place within the competition.

Characterization, communication and minimization of risks caused by new pollutants and pathogens in water circle – TransRisk

A new digital index card system in course of training App BRAINYOO emerged from BMBF-project „Characterization, communication and minimization of risks caused by new pollutants and pathogens in water circle – TransRisk”. The online-index card system “Micropollutants in water circle”, consisting of 107 multiple choice questions, enables learning, repeating and reviewing with the help of different mobile devices, PC’s as well as smartphones and tablet computers. DWA participation in the Stockholm World Water Week

In cooperation with BMUB and BMZ, DWA organizes the session “Wastewater treatment needs skilled staff – German Approaches and Experiences” at Stockholm World Water Week, which is going to take place from August 27th until September 1st 2017  and which is going to address the theme “water and waste – reduce and reuse”.It is going to be the first time for DWA to participate in the World Water Week with both ministries. The “Profile of the German Water Sector 2015” provides a comprehen-sive and up to date picture of water supply and wastewater disposal services  in Germany. lt is published by ATT, BDEW, DVGW, DBVW, DWA and VKU in consultation with the German Association of Cities (Deutscher Stadtetag — DST) and the German Association of Towns and Municipalities (Deutscher Städte- und Gemeindebund – DStGB).
