Since 1966 IFAT has been starting its history as the world’s leading trade fair for environmental technologies in Munich, Germany. Today there are over 8 IFATs around the world and a total of 11 leading events in the portfolio bringing together a worldwide representation with visitors from over 155 different countries and exhibitors of over 59 nationalities. The largest network of environmental technologies in the world in 2024 expands its portfolio and creates a milestone to leverage the market for environmental technologies in Latin America, IFAT Brasil.

University Challenge
It is important to support the international engineers of tomorrow. Qualified youngsters should be connected with experts and decision-makers of relevant companies.
To help support this, DWA offers the University Challenges. At these competitions, young talents have the chance to compete against students from other universities and apply their skills.
The challenges take place globally at various IFAT trade fairs. IFAT is the leading trade fair for water, sewage, refuse and recycling.
The first University Challenge Brasil take place in São Paulo (Brasil) in April 2024.
