Participants will understand the basic setup of the German water sector focused on river basin management – it´s structure, facts and figures, stakeholders, the administrative setup, history and current subjects from the industry. An excursion to a river basin is part of the seminar. The participants will gain practical understanding in group work, show
cases and discussions.

  • Spatial planning for water protection measures and flood risk management according to European directive

Accommodation and travel

We recommend you to book Hotel Marktterassen (www.hotelmarktterrassen. de) or Hotel Johnel (www.hoteljohnel.de). They are both close to the DWA headquarter and can be reached by foot. DWA is only a 5 minute walk away from the railway station Hennef (Sieg), which is only one stop away from the nearest ICE station Bonn/Siegburg. A travel from there to Frankfurt Airport takes about 45 minutes.
